Servicing your Electronic fuel injection is crucial to power and fuel economy

During the 1980's fuel injection become common in everyday vehicles, now it’s the basis of all modern engines. There are many ways to use them from mechanical, sequential, direct and adaptive computer controlled injection but one thing is common, all fuel injection systems require a maintenance service.

Over time contaminants build up in the fuel rail and on the filter in the injector, causing a poor fuel spray pattern. This spray pattern is paramount to the efficiency of an injector, if the fuel is not atomised correctly, you'll be wasting fuel and notice a reduction in power and idle smoothness.

Some injection services require removing the injector to clean in a bench top machine, this involves further costs involving labour, renewing seals and a generally more expensive machine. It also doesn't clean the fuel rail and check the operating condition of the fuel pressure regulator.

We use a modern servicing method whereby we clean the fuel rail, check the regulator and clean the injectors. By running the engine via a fuel supply mix from our machine, this cleans and removes contaminants, restoring the spray pattern and fuel efficiency of the injector.
